A. Ramadan Eid Gift/ Cloths Distribution Program Purpose of the program

Eid is a day of celebration and happiness for Muslims throughout the world. On this day, Muslims perform congregational prayer, celebrate their community and brotherhood. Islamic teachings demand a commitment from every Muslim to work to ease the pain and suffering of orphans and the poor so they are not forgotten, especially on the day of Eid. in this connection  Australian Multicultural Charity Australia  supports orphans, special needs people, deprived families , Communities   these social projects are designed around the timings which are most appropriate and needed for those receiving our aid. Every year we make it a priority to provide the Ramadan gift on two occasions.

The first, during the holy month of Ramadan and the second during Eid al-Adha or Eid of Hajj (pilgrimage) as a gesture of good will and well wishes.

We provide in Ramazan  cloths ,  Monthly Rashan, Eid gifts , Toys  and sweets in children and  a sufficient amount of money so children and their families can decide on where they best see their money being spent, be it clothes, toys or sweets. We also provide coupons to these families, so they can use it as they wish. Alongside that, we organise celebratory events on Eid day where gifts are distributed and the kids can have fun.

What did we do since 2014?

In 2018, Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan increased families to support  and offered 1000 Eid cloths, 1000 Ration bags  among orphans, needy people  and special needs children families. Toys and Sweets provided them before Eid prayer. Note at that year Australian Multicultural Charity Australia also spread this distribution in Remote areas of Province Sindh, like Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mithi

In 2017, Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan  managed to reach more than 800 families and offer them a Eid cloths,  and Monthly Ration these were in fact families from orphans, needy people  and special needs children . Sweets in all 800 families before Eid prayer. Note at that year Australian Multicultural Charity Australia spread this distribution in Remote areas of Province Sindh, Pakistan

In 2016, Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan managed to reach more than 600 families and offer them a Eid cloths,  and Monthly Ration these were in fact families from orphans, needy people  and special needs children . Sweets in all 600 families before Eid prayer.

In 2015, Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan managed to reach more than 600 families and offer them a Eid cloths.   And Monthly Ration these were in fact families from orphans, needy people  and special needs children .

In 2014, Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan managed to reach more than 400 families and offer them a Eid cloths.  these were in fact families from orphans and special needs students.

B.Future Planning for Ramazan

Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan Social programme in Ramadan will covers the following

provide a Food Parcel, Hot Meal, Ramadan Bread, Clean Water of Ramadan,

 Eid Cloths Gift, Eid Ration bags and Ramadan Special Gift for the families of Orphans and Special Needs students.

How will be the project implemented?  

Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan  plans to implement this project following thorough research based on pre-set statistical lists. We have tables for the list of the beneficiaries, including their allocated areas. We will arrange with the chefs to prepare the meals and volunteers to distribute the meals before the sun sets so the families can break their fast immediately like all other Muslims around the world. This project requires:

  • A detailed map specifying the needs and list of beneficiaries
  • Assigned resources and raw ingredients
  • Detailed plan of the distribution strategy
  • Volunteers to be briefed

Special Iftar Program

Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistanis going to organise collective Iftars in many places in coordination with volunteers on the ground. These families could be orphans and their families, special needs children and their families or students in vocational training deprived communities. Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Pakistan will manage to provide 5,000 meals for more than 30,000 beneficiaries from this project.

C.Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Center

Australian Multicultural Charity Australia with help of Sher Afzal Khan Welfare Foundation Pakistan established a physiotherapy and rehabilitation department at the remote City of Sindh Mirpurkhas to put brakes on avoidable disabilities by providing free services to the victims of violence, stroke and polio,  with joints pain, paralysis and poliomyelitis. Special children and women with disabilities will remain the main beneficiaries..

The programme, also provide physical therapy to the people after they undergo operations to avoid minor disabilities.“Initially, the project, launched in the remote area Mirpurkhas Sindh province & provide rehabilitation services to the handicapped patients. The project was started in 2015 after instruction of Mr. Sher afzal Khan CEO Australian Multicultural Charity Australia. According to him, This programme has been started to facilitate the physically challenged persons by offering them physical exercises in the hospitals The physiotherapy Centre is  providing  services to patients with joints pain, paralysis and poliomyelitis. Special children and women with disabilities will remain the main beneficiaries. The physiotherapy Centre  at Mirpurkhas Sind acting as  an umbrella.The basic objective of the project is to facilitate physically challenged people through rehabilitation, walking aids, vocational rehabilitation and equipment in collaboration with health and social welfare departments besides other stakeholders.

The social welfare department also identifies  physically challenged people to the health department and they are to be sent to the physiotherapy centre for treatment as well as rehabilitation.

Note : “This Centre also provide services to the beggars, who are to  be taken up from streets and markets. They get vocational training after getting medical treatment”. that other trainings and technical skills also are to be imparted to the beneficiaries of the programme to enable them to earn their livelihood.

D.Artificial Limb Services

Sher Afzal Khan welfare foundation Artificial Limbs Project

The Artificial Limb Center which was established in 2014  till To date, more than 103  People have benefited by Sher Afzal Khan welfare foundation Physiotherapy Centre . A permanent Prosthesis Centre and Workshop is functioning at the Sher afzal Welfare Foundation Physiotherapy Centre  where free services are provided to everyone.

We have provided more than 100  artificial Limbs and Callipers over the last Three  years. These were provided totally FREE of Charge. also repaired 49 limbs.

ALL THE LIMBS ARE TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE.

Future Plans

    • The artificial hand has been developed and is expected to start providing free artificial upper limbs.
    • Health awareness programmes for Diabetes, Cardiac and Hypertension, Eye camps, etc are planned.
    • Providing Artificial hands. (Internal mechanism has been arranged.
    • Health and Awareness Programs are organized regularly at the community centre.

E.Speech Therapy Centre

A Speech Therapy Centre has been  set up  at the Sher Afzal Welfare Foundation .

This Speech Therapy Centre is  a joint venture of Australian Multicultural Charity Australia.

We noted that a lot of children who were operated upon for Cleft Lip and Palate, a Congenital Deformity were found to have severe speech problems. Australian Multicultural Charity Australia Provided accessories  to set up a speech therapy Centre so as to help these poor children speak normally and grow up as  normal citizen’s  and not with  a stigma.

We have 20 children undergoing Speech Therapy by qualified speech therapist.

We are negotiating partnerships with likeminded  NGOs working in the Australia and in New Zealand  to provide us with visiting Speech Therapists.
